Free Stitchery on Readily Countable [Love]
by Maggie Glover

I’ve got the trick of your half cross and continental
down pat

(needle in mouth, thimble on thumb).

Repetitive, this slip on each side
like laundered socks along the line.

The thread
is sure to snag
on something. At the end—

a knot
the size of another.

(Already, I have sewn you up.)
