As the About page indicates, AmateurArtwork is a site whose aim is to promote emerging artists as well as those not widely known or published. We are seeking paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, and digital and new media. We also welcome submissions of anything that falls outside of traditional categorization.

We accept submissions in digital format; you may email quality, representative photographs of your work. Please note that photographs with a glare in them or which are badly off-center are not publishable (or quality, or representative). When photographing your work, it is sometimes helpful to experiment with different camera settings and lighting effects--often, natural light serves the work best.

We take artists' rights seriously; copyright remains with artists published on AmateurArtwork. However, please keep in mind that if someone wants to use an image inappropriately, they can probably find a way to do so. Please notify us when submitting your work if you would like a watermark to be placed in your images as an additional measure of protection. If your work is already watermarked or you have provided some other form of image protection, please notify us of this as well when submitting (typically, watermarks can be easily seen, but not always).
